Dzharylgach Island is a Natural Wonder in the South of Ukraine!
Just eight kilometres from Skadovsk is the island of Dzharylgach. It is a real natural treasure. With its clean sandy beaches and mineral springs, this island has become famous not only among the locals but also among tourists from all over Ukraine.

Dzharylgach covers an impressive 5605 hectares and is 42 kilometres long. However, the most unusual fact is that this remote island has a cold freshwater spring. There are also more than 400 small salt lakes created by nature itself. Dzharylgach is a place where nature has remained untouched.

The unique flora and fauna of the island fascinate everyone who visits this place. Wild boars, deer, mouflons - representatives of wildlife that amaze with their beauty - live here. But that's not all! Dzharylgach Island is famous for its huge population of seagulls and cormorants that hunt crabs, rapids and shrimps. It is a great place for birdwatching.

Dzharylgach Island is actually a large spit, and because water bodies periodically flood its narrow western part, it got its name. The island is separated from the mainland by the Dzharylgach Bay. Dzharylgach Island is easily accessible. There are regular ships, as well as the possibility of travelling by yacht, boat or large catamarans, which are always at your disposal on the pier. Sometimes dolphins accompany the trip to the island, making this holiday even more unforgettable.
